Waterford beats Plainfield 7-3 to win ECC baseball title

Norwich — Colin Harrington pitched a complete game, retiring 12 of the last 13 hitters, as third-seeded Waterford won its second consecutive Eastern Connecticut Conference baseball tournament championship with a 7-3 win over top-seeded Plainfield on Friday afternoon at Dodd Stadium.

Tournament MVP Seth Hoagland had an RBI triple for the Lancers (19-4) in a matchup of Medium Division rivals while Kevin Johnson added a big two-run triple and Tom Pezzolesi, Griffin Archambault and Adam Goss added two hits apiece.
