Hahn will make major league debut Tuesday

Jesse Hahn, a 2007 Fitch High School graduate, will make his major league debut Tuesday night for the San Diego Padres.

Hahn, 24, is 2-1 with a 2.20 earned run average for the Padres' Double-A team in San Antonio. He is scheduled to start the game against the Pirates at San Diego. The Padres need an emergency starter, due to injuries, and Hahn will be pitching on his regular rest.

He was taken out of Virginia Tech by the Tampa Bay Rays in the sixth round of the 2010 draft. He underwent Tommy John surgery shortly after that and didn't pitch until 2012. He was part of a seven-player deal between the Rays and Padres in January.
