Brazilian interns learning at Pfizer

Twenty-three Brazilian interns will be working at Pfizer Inc. campuses across the country, including in Groton, as part of a program to introduce them to working scientists.

Undergraduate students will spend eight to 12 weeks working next to Pfizer scientists in New York City, California, Connecticut, Massachusetts, New York, North Carolina and Pennsylvania. The students will focus on such fields as cardiovascular diseases, comparative medicine, neuroscience, oncology drug discovery, and vaccine research.

Brazil's Scientific Mobility Program is part of a larger government effort to fund 100,000 scholarships and internships in the world's top universities and corporations in the United States.
