Lyme-Old Lyme school district hires new business manager

The Lyme-Old Lyme School District has announced that Holly McCalla, who has served as business manager for the Griswold Public School System since 2009, will begin July 1 as the district’s new business manager.

McCalla replaces Lynn Warren who is retiring from the district at the end of this school year.

The Lyme-Old Lyme Board of Education voted unanimously to appoint McCalla, who was recently elected to the executive board of the Connecticut Association of School Business Officials, at Wednesday’s meeting.

“After an in-depth process of reviewing candidates, Holly McCalla clearly stood out as a great fit for our district,” said Superintendent of Schools Ian Neviaser in a statement. “She brings a great deal of experience to this position. Her ability to problem solve, coupled with an intense focus on doing what is best for our students, greatly impressed the interview committee. While we are all sad to see Lynn Warren retire, we are confident that Holly will be able to pick up right where Lynn left off.”
