New London — A memorial ceremony was held Friday for the World War II Greenland Patrol hosted by the International Ice Patrol Friday at Robert Crown Park on the grounds of the U.S. Coast Guard Academy. The Coast Guard operated the Greenland Patrol during WWII protecting operations in and around the Danish island.
