Montville police to gain drug sniffing dog team

Eight narcotic detection dog teams, including one from Montville, are slated to graduate this week as part of the 167th Patrol Dog class.

The graduation ceremony is set for a 10 a.m. Thursday at the Connecticut State Police Canine Unit in Meriden.

The canine teams, which include Labradors and their human partners, were in training for five weeks. Montville Police Officer Addison Saffiote and his dog Molly will be among the graduates.
