Motorcycle accident reported on Route 161 in East Lyme

East Lyme – A portion of Route 161 was closed Friday evening due to a reported motor vehicle accident involving a motorcyclist.
The accident was first reported at 9:25 p.m. State police have joined East Lyme police and the Flanders Fire Department at the scene. Route 161 is closed in the vicinity of Mayfield Terrace.
Further information was not immediately available.
