Rick Koster offers weekly lists of ideas, notions and things that must be seen to be believed.
Even though we don't have children, I was relieved earlier this week to receive an email - marketed, I assume, towards newspaper features folks - that instructed me on "Ways to Keep Baby Safe This Summer." And I must say, the tips were innovative and helpful and nothing that would ever have occurred to me.
Stuff like: "Don't leave Baby unprotected in direct sunlight."
Really? No kidding!
In that spirit, I thought I'd add a few more Safe Baby tips just to make sure all you Moms and Dads are super-prepared for the season.
1. Not even jokingly should you tell Baby that a lit Roman candle is a lollipop.
2. Don't throw Baby in the aquarium shark tank.
3. Make sure sun ointment is clearly marked so you don't mistakenly slather Baby with barbecue sauce.
4. Don't accidentally fill the play-time sandbox with buckets of red ants.
