Waterford takes Game 2 in District 10 Little League softball championship

Stonington — Cassidy Susi pitched a six-hitter with five strikeouts and no walks Saturday as Waterford topped Groton/Mystic 4-3 in the second game of the District 10 Little League softball (ages 11-12) best-of-three championship series.

The teams will play a deciding game on Sunday at 5:30 p.m. at the Pawcatuck Little League.

Waterford’s Gina McKittrick was 2-for-3 and scored what proved to be the winning run in the fifth inning on an RBI groundout by Rachel Miller.
