Norwich Public Utilities performing water system maintenance

Published July 03. 2014 2:39PM   Updated July 03. 2014 2:41PM

Norwich - Norwich Public Utilities has hired a contractor to service and clean water main valves throughout the city's water system.

The work by Wachs Water Services will not require road closures, but travelers are asked to use caution when approaching the utility work zones.

Water customers might notice a slight change in water pressure or some discoloration. Running the faucet for a few minutes should fix this problem. The work will have no effect on water quality.

If customers experience prolonged water system problems or any water quality issues, they should call Norwich Public Utilities at (860) 887-2555.

Did the Supreme Court make the right call in its 5-4 Hobby Lobby ruling?
Yes, the court was right. Forcing the owners to provide insurance coverage for contraceptives they considered immoral violated their religious rights.
No, this was a terrible ruling. Women employees shouldn't be denied coverage for contraceptives because they happen to work for people who object to them.
I'm not sure how I feel. Both sides in the case make good points.
