New London — Police have identified the motorcyclist who died in a crash on Bank Street Saturday as 51-year-old Donna Starzecki of Shelton.

The 1:14 p.m. crash remains under investigation, but New London police said it appears Starzecki was pulling out of the Mike’s Famous Harley-Davidson at 951 Bank St. and intending on traveling westbound when she crossed over the double yellow line into the eastbound lane. Her motorcycle collided with an eastbound commercial box truck, police said.

Starzecki, who was wearing a helmet, was taken by ambulance to Lawrence + Memorial Hospital with serious injuries. She was pronounced dead at 1:29 p.m.
