Mashantucket – Police say a man who scored two jackpots worth a total of $164,000 at Foxwoods Resort Casino on Thursday was wanted by Florida authorities for violating probation on a grand larceny conviction.
Members of the state police casino took Anthony P. Strangis, 33, into custody at the casino following the wins.
He is charged with being a fugitive from justice and is wanted on an extraditable warrant issued by Sarasota County Sheriff’s Department.
Police say he posted $50,000 cash bond.
Strangis, with a last known address in Fairhaven, Mass., is due to appear Aug. 7 in New London Superior Court.
