"Proud to Tri" Youth Triathlon - Saturday, Aug. 2, Waterford Beach Park, Waterford, beginning at 8 a.m., open to ages 5-17. Running and biking in the park for all ages up to 10 years old. Training wheels allowed as well as certified life jackets. Children will be separated by age groups: 5-6 year olds will swim 25 yards, bike .7 miles, and run .37 miles; ages 7-8 and 9-10 will swim 50 yards, bike 1.4 miles, and run .5 miles; ages 11-13 and 14-17 will swim 100 yards, bike 2.9 miles, and run 1 mile.
