1982 massacre victims remembered

Relatives carry the coffin Wednesday of one of 31 villagers massacred during the civil war in 1982 in Santa Maria Nebaj, Guatemala. The remains of 31 Ixil Maya Indians who were killed 32 years ago during the height of the country's civil war have been laid to rest in the country's western highlands. Forensic experts first exhumed the remains four years ago but were able to identify only eight of the victims using DNA.
