Dem. primary debate features Ritter, Satti

Candidates for Connecticut's 20th Senatorial District, comprised of East Lyme, Montville, New London, Old Lyme, Old Saybrook, Salem and Waterford, will face off in a Democratic Party primary Aug. 12. The Democrat who now holds the seat, Sen. Andrea Stillman, did not seek re-election.

The League of Women Voters (LWV) of Southeastern Connecticut and the Waterford Public Library are sponsoring a debate between Betsy Ritter, 10-year state representative from Waterford, and Bill Satti, chairman of the New London Democratic Town Committee and the Mashantucket Pequot Tribe's director of community affairs and public relations, on Tuesday, 7:15 p.m., lower-level, Waterford Public Library, 49 Roper Ferry Road.

Questions should be clearly written and turned in at the door upon arrival.

The debate will be videotaped and aired on SEC-TV and other public access stations.
