Sailing lesson on the Thames

The U.S. Coast Guard Academy 44-foot sailboat Osprey takes in sail Monday in the Thames River off State Pier. Osprey is one of a new Leadership class of sailboats funded by a joint venture involving the Coast Guard Academy Alumni Association, Coast Guard Foundation, Coast Guard Academy Parents Association and the academy for cadets to learn seamanship and leadership on short sailing trips out of the academy waterfront.
