Ritter has served the public well

I have known Betsy Ritter since many years ago when she was tax collector for the town of Waterford, a difficult and largely thankless job she undertook with an admirable combination of intelligence, toughness and grace.

Betsy has been serving the public in the House of Representatives since 2004, and is an acknowledged and effective leader. I have seen her advocate courageously and effectively in the House of Representatives for the rights and interests of the disabled and elderly and doing so in a thoughtful and balanced way, listening to the viewpoints of all concerned.

During this time she has remained close to her community, and raised a family, and is a familiar figure to those involved in local affairs. For some years I served with her on the board of the local United Cerebral Palsy organization and saw close up the thoughtfulness, intelligence and wisdom she brought to difficult situations. Betsy is a smart, hard working, experienced, caring, courageous and effective legislator who knows how to get things done. Why not return a proven, experienced and effective veteran to Hartford?
