Jaskiewicz, Caron in Montville endorse Satti

Montville Town Council Chairman Joe Jaskiewicz and Councilor Bill Caron have endorsed Democratic candidate Bill Satti for the 20th Senate District, according to Satti’s campaign.

Their endorsements follow those of East Lyme Selectwoman Rose Ann Hardy, East Lyme Selectman Rob Wilson, and Bozrah First Selectman Bill Ballinger.

The 20th District encompasses Bozrah, East Lyme, Montville, New London, Old Lyme, Old Saybrook, Salem and Waterford.

Satti, the New London Democratic Town Committee chairman, will face state Rep. Betsy Ritter, D-Waterford, in a primary Tuesday. The winner of the primary will run against East Lyme First Selectman Paul Formica, a Republican, in the general election.

“Bill Satti listens. He leads. And he is the right choice for our community. I look forward to voting for him on Tuesday,” Jaskiewicz said in a statement released by the campaign Friday.

Councilman Bill Caron added in the statement, “We need a strong voice in Hartford that will listen to our needs and fight for us in the State Senate. Bill Satti will do exactly that, and I am proud to endorse him. He has earned the support of Montville residents.”
