Ledyard police investigate single-car accident

Ledyard — Police said one person was injured when the car he was driving struck a tree on Christy Hill Road early this morning.

Police said they responded to the accident at 2:13 a.m. The driver, David Bellaflores, 24, of Harvard Terrace, was taken to Lawrence + Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

In addition to Ledyard police, the  Gales Ferry and Ledyard fire departments, Ledyard Volunteer Emergency Squad and Lawrence + Memorial Hospital paramedic also responded.

The cause of the accident is under investigation.
