The National Weather Service has lifted its flash flood watch for New London County, and Connecticut Light & Power has restored electricity to residents in Montville and Salem. In Ledyard, 109 customers remained without power as of 2 p.m.
Towns in New London County saw between 2 and 4.5 inches of rain between 5 and 10 a.m. this morning, with Montville receiving the most rain at 4.45 inches, according to NWS spokesman Chris Vaccaro.
Norwich Public Utilities has reported on its Facebook page that it is still working to replace a Union Street utility pole that was damaged by a fallen tree at 11 a.m. About 200 NPU customers including Norwich City Hall remain without power as of 2 p.m., according to NPU Program Coordinator Jeanne Kurasz.
