Norwich – An 18-year-old Norwich man faces home invasion and other charges after illegally entering his ex-girlfriend’s home and assaulting her Thursday night, police said.

Michael Foley of 6 Penobscot St. was charged with home invasion, third-degree assault, risk of injury to a minor, third-degree criminal mischief and disorderly conduct. Police said the incident occurred shortly before 10 p.m. on Cedar Street. Police said a child was present during the assault.

Foley, who has several pending third-degree assault charges, was held in lieu of a $75,000 bond pending an appearance Friday in Norwich Superior Court. Court information was not immediately available.
