BYU routs UConn in Diaco's first game, 35-10

East Hartford — Taysom Hill threw for 308 yards and three touchdowns and ran for 97 yards and two scores as BYU downed UConn on Friday night, 35-10, in the Huskies first game under head coach Bob Diaco.

BYU scored the game’s first 21 points. It finished with 513 total yards.

Joshua Marriner scored on a 1-yard run for UConn. Casey Cochran and Chandler Whitmer combined to complete 25 of 48 passes for 284 yards with the former throwing an interception.
