New London — Police late Wednesday arrested a Pennsylvania man who they say is wanted out of New York on a parole violation.

William Robertson, 33, also known as William Bolding, of Reading, was charged with disorderly conduct, assault on a police officer, interfering with police and being a fugitive from justice.

Police said the parole violation in New York was connected to a weapons incident. No further information was provided on the New York case.

Police said at about 11:15 p.m. they were in the 300 block of Jefferson Avenue to investigate a domestic disturbance in the area. During that time, police said they saw a suspicious person who had fallen down on the sidewalk.

Police stopped to speak to the man, later identified as Robertson, when he became agitated and somewhat combative. He was then placed under arrest.

While Robertson was being processed at the station, a criminal records check showed that he had an outstanding warrant for his arrest. Police said he has an extensive criminal background, including arrests for robberies, assaults and weapons violations.

He is being held in lieu of a $250,000 bond, pending his arraignment today in New London Superior Court.

It is a powerful statement and shows Russia and the rest of the world that we will not allow unchecked aggression against our allies.
Seems like a lot talk without a lot of action. Sanctions haven't done much to keep Russia away from the region.
This kind of rhetoric will only serve to fan the flames of the conflict in Ukraine.
Enough talk, we need to commit troops to the region.
