New London mayoral candidates help dish out breakfast

New London -- Three candidates for mayor helped volunteers of the New London Breakfasts program serve breakfast to the homeless and hungry in Parish Hall of the First Congregational Church this morning.

Democrat Daryl Justin Finizio and petitioning candidates Martin T. Olsen Jr. and Lori Hopkins-Cavanagh helped serve breakfast to 83 people. Breakfast is provided every weekday morning and funded entirely through donations.

Organizers of the program said all six of the mayoral candidates were invited but some were unable to attend.
