    Instrumental and Selfless

Our family first met Alden Mead when he served as a Vietnamese interpreter for us at Yale-New Haven Hospital in 1985. We renewed his acquaintance in 1989 when he was a law student working as an intern to then-congressman Bruce Morrison, and we have been good friends since that. He was instrumental and selfless in helping a number of people to resettle in this land of freedom, just as so many have done before us and since.

As a long-term, proud citizen of North Haven, I strongly support Alden Mead for state representative from our district because he is the role-model type of person, over history, who has not only gone to other lands to serve in the fight for democracy, but has been there to help open the door to freedom for others here at home. He is a thoughtful, compassionate man, well-known for great skill and accomplishments in many areas. I encourage your readers to join me in supporting Alden Mead to serve us in Hartford.
