    Beetham - Furman

    Margaret Furman and David Beetham were united in marriage on July 27, 2014.

    The bride is the daughter of Veronica and the late Jerome Furman of Quaker Hill. The groom is the son of Patricia and Howard Beetham of Uncasville.

    The wedding and reception took place aboard the yacht Mystique, Lady Katharine Cruises, on the Connecticut River in Haddam. The bride was escorted down the aisle by her mother Veronica. Patricia Beetham, Justice of the Peace and mother of the groom, officiated the ceremony. Sisters of the bride, Paula Brennan and Celeste Milukas; and niece, Alaina Milukas, provided emotional and inspiring musical accompaniment with piano and song throughout the ceremony.

    Margaret is a graduate of Waterford High School. She graduated magna cum laude from Indiana Wesleyan University with a bachelor's degree in business administration. Margaret served in the U.S. Army finance corps for 21 years. She retired as a Master Sergeant in 2004 after completing a tour of duty in Iraq. She is currently employed as a software support specialist for Balfour Beatty Communities.

    David is a graduate of Montville High School. He worked at Electric Boat in the Metal Trades Council as an expeditor for the nuclear pipe shop, followed by work as a material and vendor drawing tech in the Marine Draftsmen's Assocation. He also worked for Rand-Whitney Containerboard, and is currently employed as an environmental specialist for Veolia Environmental Services, onsite at Pfizer. David has two daughters, Tamara and Raena.

    The couple honeymooned in the Southwest USA, visiting several breathtaking National Parks.
