Catch up with Girls on the Run

Girls on the Run of Southeastern Connecticut, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to inspire girls to be joyful, healthy and confident, will host its second Trick or Trot Halloween Fun Run/Walk at 10 a.m. Saturday at Bluff Point State Park in Groton.

All proceeds from the 3.5-mile run will benefit the chapter, which is looking to begin a program at North Stonington Elementary School in March. Prizes will be awarded to the top three male and female finishers. The half-mile children's fun run begins at 10:15 a.m. There also will be a costume contest.

Participants may register at gotrsecttrickortrot.eventbrite.com. The cost is $25 for the run/walk and $15 for the kid's run.
