Celebrate the harvest at Old Town Mill

The City of New London and Old Town Mill Preservationists are hosting a Harvest Festival from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Old Town Mill, 8 Mill St.

The free event will include the sixth annual apple-pie-baking contest, handcrafted items for sale, horse-drawn carriage rides, activities for children, musical entertainment, kettle corn, cider and doughnuts.

The apple pie contest will take place at noon. Anyone who plans to enter the contest should have a pie at the Old Town Mill no later than 11:30 a.m.

The mill building will be open for tours. For more information, call (860) 437-6394.
