    Grace A. Buonocore

    North Haven

    Grace Ann Cottiero Buonocore, 79, of Ridge Road, North Haven, passed away peacefully on Sept. 25 at the Vitas Innovative Hospice Care, Waterbury. She was the wife for 55 years of Vincent Buonocore, Jr. Grace was born in New Haven on May 29, 1935, daughter of the late Philip and Julia Raiano Cottiero.

    She was a graduate of the former St. Mary’s High School, New Haven. She worked for the Knights of Columbus Supreme Council, the SNET Company, and later for her husband at Core Ltd. for 30 years, and was a teaching assistant at Welch Annex School for 12 years. Grace was an avid tennis player and was a member of the Ridge Top Club. She enjoyed swimming and walking.

    She was the mother of Michele (Robert) Klimczak, Vincent Buonocore, III, and Felicity (Michael) Celentano. She was the grandmother of David Kimel, Grace and Chloe Klimczak, and Lauren and Michael Celentano. She was the sister of Christine (Joseph) Massa and Anthony (Anne) Cottiero. She is also survived by many loving and caring friends.

    Her funeral procession left the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Ave., Sept. 29 at 10:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church at 11:00 a.m. Interment followed in the North Haven Center Cemetery.
