    NBA roundup

    Nets 99, 76ers 91

Alan Anderson scored 10 of his 12 points in the fourth quarter, and Brooklyn beat Philadelphia on Wednesday night to extend the 76ers' season-opening skid to 15 games - matching a franchise record.

Philadelphia rallied from a 20-point deficit in the first half to the lead early in the fourth quarter, but Anderson and Mirza Teletovic led the way for the Nets in the final period. Teletovic had six of his nine points in the fourth.

Joe Johnson had 21 points and Brook Lopez scored 19 for Brooklyn (6-8), which won for just the second time in eight games. Deron Williams added 17 points, 10 assists and eight rebounds.

K.J. McDaniels and Tony Wroten scored 18 apiece for Philadelphia, which matched the 1972-73 team that started with 15 losses on its way to setting an NBA record for fewest wins in an 82-game schedule at 9-73.

The 2009-10 Nets own the league record for consecutive losses to open the season with 18, and the Sixers could break the record with a loss to Oklahoma City on Dec. 5.

Philadelphia will try again for its first win when it hosts Dallas on Saturday. Then the Sixers get San Antonio at home on Monday and travel to Minnesota for a Dec. 3 game before returning home to play the Thunder.

Philadelphia became the eighth team in NBA history to begin the season with at least 15 straight losses. Only four teams ever have started with more than 15 straight defeats.

    Mavs 109, Knicks 102

Tyson Chandler set season highs with 17 points and 25 rebounds against his former team, helping Dallas to an overtime victory against New York, which was missing Carmelo Anthony.

J.R. Smith, starting with Anthony sidelined by back spasms, was 1 of 10 from the field entering the fourth quarter. But he made a tying jumper with 0.9 seconds left in regulation.

Dirk Nowitzki had a season-high 30 points for Dallas.

Chandler put Dallas ahead for good on a dunk at 101-99 in his first game against New York since an offseason trade that brought him back to Dallas after three seasons with the Knicks.

Jose Calderon, the biggest name going New York's way in the six-player deal after one season with the Mavericks, matched a career high with seven 3-pointers for all of his 21 points.

    Cavs 113, Wizards 87

LeBron James scored 29 points, Kevin Love added 21 and Cleveland exacted a little revenge with a win over Washington.

Five days after they were embarrassed in a 91-78 loss to Washington, the Cavs controlled this one from the start and got back to .500.

James led the way, also collecting 10 rebounds and eight assists in 36 minutes. The four-time MVP, who called his team "fragile" during a recent four-game losing streak, was energized from the start as he powered to the basket and imposed his will on the Wizards.

With Cleveland up by 19, James took a seat with 7:52 left, getting an early start on the Thanksgiving holiday. Kyrie Irving added 18 points for the Cavs.

    Warriors 111, Magic 96

Stephen Curry had 28 points, including six 3-pointers, as Golden State rolled to a victory over Orlando.

Harrison Barnes added 16 points. Seven Warriors reached double figures.

Curry sat in the fourth quarter of Golden State's seventh straight victory overall and third consecutive win over the Magic. The Warriors led by as many as 27 in the second half.
