Post-game breakdown, video: Texas
UConn saw its 44-game non-conference winning streak at Gampel Pavilion end in stunning fashion on Sunday.
Senior Jonathan Holmes hit an open 3-pointer with two seconds left to lift No. 7 Texas to a dramatic 55-54 victory.
It was the first win by a non-conference foe in Storrs since 2001 when the Huskies lost to Detroit in the NIT.
Senior Ryan Boatright scored a game-high 24 points to power the 24th-ranked Huskies (3-2). On the game-winning play, Boatright sprained his left ankle and had to be helped off the court.
Boatright said the injury is "nothing major." But he's unsure if he'll play Friday against Yale. He left Gampel Pavilion on crutches.

Some news, notes and quotes from Sunday's post-game:
-- Rodney Purvis (left ankle) and Omar Calhoun (right knee) both sat out the game. Purvis wore a walking boot.
-- UConn had its worst shooting game of the season, converting just 30 percent.
"You have no choice but to be concerned," Boatright said.
The Huskies continue to shoot poorly from beyond the arc, making just 3 of 16 attempts.
They struggled to score against a zone defense.
"We've got to make shots," coach Kevin Ollie said. "I can't draw anything up, they're wide open shots. Somebody is going to have to step up and make shots."
-- Ollie is optimistic that Boatright won't be out long. Team trainer James Doran said the senior suffered a left ankle sprain. X-rays will be taken on Monday.
"He hates missing practice," Ollie said. "That's one guy I'm not worried about getting back on the court."
-- Sophomore Kentan Facey led the Huskies in rebounding with eight. UConn is the first team to out-rebound Texas (36-35) this season.
"We always take rebounding as a challenge," Facey said. "Personally, I take it on myself every game to go out there and get as many rebounds as I can."
-- Transition defense hurt the Huskies, who allowed 21 fast break points.
Overall, UConn played strong defense, holding Texas to season lows in points and field goal percentage (37 percent).
-- It was UConn's first game against a ranked opponent this seaosn.
-- The Huskies dropped their second straight game, matching last year's longest losing streak.
-- The game-winning shot came after a timeout with 4.4 seconds left.
UConn called a timeout after Texas came out of a timeout to set up the play.
"They just executed a good play at the end," Ollie said. "We called a timeout. We wanted to switch everything and guard in the corner. I think Boat rolled his ankle and couldn't get out to Holmes, and Daniel (Hamilton) got caught."
-- Texas coach Rick Barnes had some nice things to say about the Huskies.
"Today was the worst we played offensively all year and it had a lot to do with what they were doing to us. ... You've got to give (UConn) credit. They played us differently than anybody all year."
-- Shooting guard Tyus Battle, a Class of 2016 recruit, attended the game.
