    Southington overpowers NFA 49-0 to win Class LL-Large title

    New Britain — Jasen Rose threw for 348 yards and five touchdowns to lead top-seeded Southington to a 49-0 victory No. 2 Norwich Free Academy in the Class LL-Large championship football game at Willow Brook Park on Saturday night.

    Rose is 24-for-31 threw three touchdowns to Matt Maxwell (8 catches, 127 yards) and two to Alex Jamele (7 catches, 126 yards). Jamele also returned a punt 62 yards for a third TD for the Blue Knights, who finished 13-0.

    Khaleed Exum-Strong rushed for 55 yards on 19 carries for the Wildcats, who finish 8-3.
