Solarize Old Lyme, Lyme will hold workshop Jan. 26

Solarize Old Lyme and Solarize Lyme are jointly sponsoring a workshop from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Jan. 26 at the Lyme-Old Lyme Middle School Auditorium, 53 Lyme Street, Old Lyme.

Solarize Connecticut is a town- and state-sponsored online community solar marketplace that provides multiple quotes from local installers so residents can compare prices and find the best solar solution for their homes.

At the workshop, residents will learn about the program and will be introduced to the new, locally tested, online solar power marketplace. Residents with installed systems will also discuss their systems.

Representatives from Connecticut Green Bank and SmartPower and participating installers will be available during the workshop and in the cafeteria after the meeting to address questions and assist residents in obtaining estimates, creating a property profile or requesting bids from installers.

More information can be found by visiting either www.solarizect.com/OldLyme or www.solarizect.com/Lyme.

The answers to frequently asked questions can be found on Old Lyme’s website, http://bit.ly/1Dun9Qu. They are also available at Lyme’s website, under the “announcements” section.

The workshop will precede Old Lyme’s Annual Town Meeting, which will take place at 7:30 p.m.
