Mr. and Mrs. Richard A. Maynard III of Norwich celebrated their first anniversary on October 10, 2011. They were married last year at the Connecticut Renaissance Faire in Hebron.

Brandi (Walker) is formerly of New London, the daughter of Stephanie Walker of Waterford and Brion Walker of New London.

Richard is the son of Suzanne and Richard Maynard Jr. of Oneco.

The ceremony took place under an archway of flowers with Erni Kuter officiating. Seventy-seven guests were present. Brandi wore a dress made by Hilary Buckland of Fashions in Time in Scotia, N.Y. and a custom made headpiece featuring antique glass beads by Raven Eve Jewelry.

The wedding party, dressed in medieval themed attire, included junior bridesmaids, Courtney Sanders, Sabrina Parish and flower girl, Tierra Pangelinan. Junior groomsmen were Joshua Maynard and Jacob Parish. The ring bearer was Chandler Brown.

Brandi is a 2002 graduate of Saint Bernard School in Uncasville and a 2010 graduate of Mitchell College. Richard is a 1996 graduate of Ellis Technical High School in Danielson and a 2008 graduate of Three Rivers Community College.

The couple resides in Norwich.
