Bicyclist struck by vehicle in Norwich

Norwich – A bicyclist was taken to the hospital Thursday after being struck by a vehicle while riding on the eastbound side of West Main Street.
The accident occurred about 3:30 p.m. in the area between Dunkin' Donuts and Jack’s Brick Oven Pizza Pizzeria, according to fire personnel. Norwich police responded with the East Great Plain Fire Department and American Ambulance.
The bicyclist was taken to The William W. Backus Hospital for treatment of what police described as injuries that were not life threatening. The unidentified motorist was issued a written warning.
Norwich police provided no additional information.
