    Killingworth Women’s Organization Supports Library

Killingworth Library Association board members issued a public thank you to the Killingworth Women's Organization (KWO) for being the library's most active community partner last year. In 2014, KWO raised more than $7,000 to support the non-profit library through a spring tag sale; a successful auction for the library board's year-end event, "Cheers to the Next 50 Years;" and proceeds from the Christmas Lights Spectacular.

More than 140 people attended the "Cheers" event at the library in November, and the KWO, in partnership with the Gorski family, culminated 10 years of spectacular holiday family entertainment in December. The KWO has helped raise more than $25,000 for the library since 2010.

Killingworth Library Association is a private, non-profit organization run by 18 volunteer board members responsible for raising more than $90,000 of the library's operating budget this year, with the Town funding the rest.
