Motion Radio played a fine eight-song set as our guests Thursday on the weekly "Live Lunch Break" concert series. Damned if we can remember how backup singer Sara Rhea described their sound, though - something about alternative, funky barroom rock. At some point, tofu hotdogs were discussed. In any event, the band - including guitarist/vocalist Matt Hamilton, bassist/vocalist A.J. Longo and drummer Brian Briggs - captivated, entranced and energized a nice noontime crowd in New London's Telegraph Records shop. They played material from an upcoming EP and even newer songs.
