Three Rivers Community College to host forum Friday on youth unemployment
Norwich – Three Rivers Community College will host a public forum Friday on unemployed youth in southeastern Connecticut.
The forum “Out of School and Unemployed Youth Ages 16-24” will be held from 9 to 11:30 a.m. in room F-117 at Three Rivers Community College at 574 New London Turnpike in Norwich.
A panel of local experts will focus on job training, educational and employment opportunities and social services available to the target age groups.
Leaders from Norwich Adult Education, the state Department of Labor, Thames Valley Council for Community Action Rapid Rehousing program and William Donehey, performance improvement manager for Mohegan Sun Casino, will discuss the issues.
The forum is co-sponsored by the Three Rivers Human Services Program and Three Rivers Student Government Association.
