New London Field of Greens Farmers’ Market invites all residents and guests to Family Day at the Market on Friday from 3 to 6 p.m. at Williams Park in New London. In partnership with New London Recreation Department, Kiwanis Club, Bike New London and Expressiones, Family Day will include a puppet show with Fernando the Farmer hosted by the Hispanic Health Council; Amphibian Show and Tell by the Denison Pequotsepos Nature Center; free bicycle helmets and bike repair from the Kiwanis Club and Bike New London; cooking demonstrations by UConn Extension; nutrition education by the TVCCA WIC office; an art experience and face painting for children sponsored by Expressiones; and music by Connie Howard.

The market will offers its usual array of local fruits, vegetables and cheeses, artisan breads and baked goods, eggs, jams and jellies, honey and syrups
