Gone for Good? Not so fast! The popular-but-now-defunct local rock trio Gone For Good reconvenes one time only with a special show tonight with Marvelous Liars in New London’s Oasis Pub. Bassist Ryan Perkins, back in town after living in Hawaii for three years, reunites with founding guitarist-vocalist Nick Johns — who now fronts Marvelous Liars — for a set of GFG favorites. Liars drummer Shane O’Connell will sit in the percussion chair for Gone For Good, whose original drummer, Josh Leece, was killed in an accident in 2009. Meanwhile, Gone for Good/Marvelous Liars producer Jason Banta will handle four-string chores during the Liars’ set, replacing regular bassist Eric Liotte for just this occasion. It should be an evening of warm and bittersweet memories combined with joyous excitement, energy and new Liars tunes. Opening the proceedings are Motion Radio.
