Waterford — Police are reminding residents that construction beginning Monday at 8 p.m. is expected to cause significant delays on Interstate 95 north and the roads around it for 34 hours.
According to police, the high speed lane will be closed until 6 a.m. Wednesday as crews work on the Interstate 95 bridge that goes over Oil Mill Road.
Police said state Routes 1 and 85 as well as Interstate 395 also could see significant congestion as a result.
Police are asking motorists who can to avoid the area and for those who can’t to take I-395 north, then Route 85 south to get around the construction.
