Make a Difference: Visiting Nurse Association of Southeastern Connecticut

WHO: Bob and Sandy, a young couple, live in a shoreline town with their preschool-age daughter, Lily.

AGENCY: Visiting Nurse Association of Southeastern Connecticut

THEIR SITUATION: Sandy has malignant growths on her head and eye. She has undergone multiple surgeries over the past few years and most recently is recovering from skin grafting over her eye socket. She will be resuming chemotherapy soon. Lily is in remission from leukemia. Sandy is unable to work and having help with the expenses that accompany her serious health status would be appreciated. Lily also is hoping to go back to preschool soon. Bob and Sandy are fortunate to have health coverage, but the extra uncovered expenses have been overwhelming.

WHAT TO GIVE: Gift cards to stores such as Target and Stop & Shop as well as cash donations would help this family not only get by but experience joy this holiday season.

TO DONATE: Gifts can be dropped off or mailed to VNA of Southeastern CT, 403 N. Frontage Road, Waterford, CT 06385. Checks should be made out to the VNA with “Sandy” in the memo line.
