    LOLHS student artists recognized

    Three Lyme-Old Lyme High School students were recognized at the 2017 Connecticut Scholastic Art competition.

    Claudia Mergy, a junior, received a Gold Key for her painting, “Asparagus and Cupcakes.” Her painting will be juried at the national level later this year.

    Senior Skyelar Shaw won a Silver Key for her drawing, “Two Crystals,” and was offered a $20,000 annual scholarship to the University of Hartford Art School in recognition of her portfolio. Senior Margaret Berger also received a Silver Key for her sculpture, “Polar Bear.”
