"There is a true threat to democracy in Washington, D.C. right now," (July 26), but greater even than that is the mortal threat to us and the world posed by our demagogic president. Sitting in the Oval Office is an elected adolescent who shouldn't be allowed within a hundred yards of a B.B. gun, yet, has his finger on the nuclear trigger! It's mind-boggling that we have allowed this to happen.

Before the bluster and bombast turns to death and destruction, the GOP should show some spine, forget about their re-election chances, invoke Section 4 of the 25th Amendment and remove President Trump from office.

Vice President Mike Pence wants the job anyway.
