Mohegan Sun hosts Vets Rock concert with Joe Walsh and Eddie Money

Lending his talents to a handful of bands, such as James Gang, the Party Boys, and Ringo Starr & His All-Starr Band and, not to mention, the Eagles, Joe Walsh is a rock star remembered for his long and industrious career. But five decades of intense music making hasn’t seemed to slow him down, as he’ll be making his way to Mohegan Sun Friday in an effort to celebrate thousands of veterans from throughout the region. They too will be at the casino Friday for Walsh and for the all-day line up of veteran-related expos and career fairs being held in the Uncas Ballroom.

Alongside Walsh will be Eddie Money, the man who is remembered for his chart-topping hits “Two Tickets to Paradise,” “Baby Hold On” and, of course, “Take Me Home Tonight” (get ready to have that one stuck in your head for days).

A portion of ticket sale proceeds will go towards the United Service Organization of Connecticut. And, it should be noted, veterans can attend the concert for just $25 with a valid military I.D. A win-win for everyone involved.

“Vets Rock," 7:30 p.m. Friday, Mohegan Sun Arena; featuring Joe Walsh and Eddie Money; benefitting the USO Connecticut; $49-$89; $25 for veterans and military; 1-800-745-3000.
