Route 82 partially reopened in Norwich after 3-car crash, hydrant struck

Norwich — Route 82 partially has reopened near Orchard Lane after a three-vehicle crash that also involved a fire hydrant.

The complete closure started about 6 p.m. Wednesday, with the southbound portion re-opening later in the evening. Police said the northbound lane still was closed as of 8:45 p.m. in order to repair the water main, with no estimated time of completion available.
