Middle class under assault from Republicans

Republicans did not have the well-being of working class Americans in mind when drafting this new tax law. The law overwhelmingly benefits billionaires while it increases the national debt by $1.4 trillion, transforming a tax break into a payback for the wealthiest 1 percent.

Now, Congress plans to repay the deficit by slashing entitlements programs or “starving the bast.”

“Starve the beast” is a phrase used by House Speaker Paul Ryan, R-Wis., and other House Republicans to identify the process through which the $1.4 trillion deficit is repaid via slashing entitlement programs such as Social Security, Medicare or Medicaid. Much of the middle class and less fortunate depend on these entitlements to avoid financial ruin or merely to live.

Working-class Americans are getting mugged by President Trump, Republicans, the alt-right media and FOX propaganda. Their relentless blitz of half-truths, fabricated opinions and outright lies have brainwashed the politically uninformed while bolstering hate groups such as the KKK, white supremacists, and neo-Nazis.

The silent majority must vote out Trump's Republicans and his divisive, plutocratic régime.
