Miranda Lambert comes to Mohegan Sun

At left, riding a wave of kudos and awards, country star Miranda Lambert performs at the Mohegan Sun Saturday.

No one in country music is on more of a hot streak right now than Miranda Lambert.

Her 2014 album “Platinum” made endless year-end best-of lists, and all sorts of groups who hand out awards have gifted her with plenty. (And even Kanye West hasn’t objected to any of her wins.)

At November’s Country Music Association, she walked off with four awards — for album, single, vocal event (with Keith Urban for “We Were Us”) and female vocalist of the year. In fact, it was Lambert’s fifth year in a row of nabbing the female vocalist honors.

And she’s not done yet! On April 19, she’ll find out which of the eight Academy of Country Music Awards nominations she earned will result in a trophy to take home. Among the bevy of noms is one for entertainer of the year.

She’s certainly deserving of the title entertainer of the year: on stage, she gives blazingly great performances. You’re bound to see just that if you’re lucky enough to be at the Mohegan Sun Arena on Saturday for her concert there.
