Bluegrass Festival returns this weekend to Strawberry Park in Preston

The Kruger Brothers perform Friday at the Strawberry Park Bluegrass Festival in Preston.

The Metacomet Range Mountains are much closer, but for the next few days, the music emanating from Preston is going to sound a lot more Appalachian.

That’s because it’s time for the 38th annual Strawberry Park Bluegrass Festival, taking place in the titular campground from Thursday through Sunday. Participants this year comprise the fest’s usual all-world lineup, including The SteelDrivers (Friday), The Gibson Brothers (Saturday), The Kruger Brothers (Friday), Dry Branch Fire Squad (Saturday and Sunday), Clair Lynch (Saturday), Della Mae( Friday), Sierra Hull (Friday), The South Carolina Broadcasters (Friday), Bob Amos & Catamount Crossing (Thursday), and many more.

In addition to the Main Stage, there’s also a Workshop Stage with a variety of sing-alongs, dances and musical instruction.
