The Connecticut Songwriters Association will present a songwriting workshop on Wednesday, Oct. 7, at 7:15 p.m. at the Morgan House at Union Baptist Church, 121 High St., Mystic. The workshop will focus on the elements of rhythm and exploring the relationships of accents in music and lyrics in various timings.

The event is open to the public and to CSA members. A suggested $10 donation helps support CSA’s nonprofit community educational outreach programs. Attendees who wish to have a song critiqued should bring a song on CD or perform it live, along with 15 copies of the lyrics.
